1. Who we are

TremorTracer is an independently developed mobile application designed to help individuals with Parkinson's disease track tremor severity and understand how their medication affects their symptoms over time. The app is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice or diagnosis.

2. What data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate the app:

• Account information: Your email address, used solely to create and authenticate your account.
• Tremor assessment data: Numerical tremor scores (0–10), accelerometer variance values, and timestamps recorded during each 15-second assessment session.
• Medication log data: Medication name, dosage (mg), levodopa-equivalent potency factor, and time since last dose — entered manually by you before each assessment.
• Usage timestamps: When assessments were performed, used to display trends and compute weekly comparisons within the app.

We do not collect your name, date of birth, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal information not listed above.

3. Sensitive health information

Tremor scores and medication logs are health-related data. We treat this information with the highest level of care:

• Your health data is stored in your private, authenticated account only.
• No other user or third party can access your data.
• We do not aggregate, anonymize, or use your health data for research, advertising, or any commercial purpose.
• Your data is never sold or rented to any third party.

4. How we use your data

Your data is used exclusively to:

• Display your tremor history and trends within the app.
• Compute per-medication effectiveness analytics shown on your Trends screen.
• Authenticate you when you sign in.
• Send account-related emails (email verification, password reset) when you request them.

We do not use your data for marketing, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app as described.

5. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on Supabase (supabase.com), a cloud database platform hosted on AWS in the United States. Supabase uses row-level security so that each user can only access their own records. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256).

Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth using industry-standard PKCE OAuth flow. Passwords are never stored in plaintext — they are hashed using bcrypt by Supabase's authentication system.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

6. Accelerometer access

TremorTracer uses your device's accelerometer to measure hand tremor during the 15-second assessment. The raw accelerometer stream is processed entirely on-device during the test window and is never transmitted or stored. Only the computed tremor score and variance are saved to your account.

Accelerometer access is only active during an assessment session. The app does not access the accelerometer in the background.

7. Third-party services

TremorTracer uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Supabase (supabase.com) — database, authentication, and email delivery. Subject to Supabase's Privacy Policy.

We do not integrate analytics SDKs (e.g. Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel), advertising networks, or social media tracking in this app.

8. Your rights and choices

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: All of your data is visible directly within the app on the History and Trends screens.
• Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete account within the app. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.
• Correction: Individual tremor records can be deleted from the History screen if you believe they are inaccurate.
• Portability: To request an export of your raw data, contact us at tremortracer@gmail.com.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA. Contact us at the email above to exercise any of these rights.

9. Children's privacy

TremorTracer is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Medical disclaimer

TremorTracer is a personal tracking tool only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnoses, treatment recommendations, or clinical assessments. The tremor scores produced by the app are based on accelerometer variance and are intended for personal self-monitoring only.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional — such as a neurologist or movement disorder specialist — regarding your symptoms, diagnosis, and medication decisions. Do not make changes to your medication based solely on data from this app.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email (to the address on your account) or by a prominent notice within the app before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

Continued use of TremorTracer after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
